Musical Archive of St. Maurice in Kroměříž

The bachelor thesis deals with the unknown archive of the collegiate church St Maurice in Kromeriz, which is found in the crusts in the room next to the organ. The world-famous music collection of Bishop Karl Liechtenstein-Castelcorn together with other scores was moved from the church St Maurice by Antonín Breitenbacher. Music scores were moved in 1927 to Kromeriz's castle. Bachelor thesis provides the location list of music, which is now stored in the crusts. The value of this list is in testimony about evolution of church music at the residential town of Olomouc Archbishop in 2nd middle 19th century and in the 20th century. Especially in the 1st middle 20th century were the crusts of St. Maurice recognized center of church music, which were visited by the leading composers. The high quality of church music is documented by the fact that the liturgy was also transmitted by radio. Music archive of St Maurice in his consistency gives a unique statement of the historical stage of church music, which waiting on detailed musicological treatment.
